Magic, Prophecy and a Lot of Love (and some screaming hot Lusty Business)

As I said earlier in the week, this is a fun book. Having been a Mary Hughes fan since the first time I read one of her books, I try to grab each release as soon as I can. I have enjoyed all of her biting Love books, and with the new series, Pull of the Moon, I can honestly say she has done for werewolves and witches/wizards what she did for vampires.

Gabriel Light and Emma Singer are forbidden to be a couple. According to the laws of the Council, witches can never get involved with shifters. But Emma has wanted Gabriel since the first moment she saw him, and Gabriel has tried to keep his distance as much as he can. All the good intentions in the world fly right out the window when Gabriel and Emma are arrested by one of the Enforcers and sent to a pocket realm...together.

This book is full of intrigue...who is trying to frame Emma as the person who turned in Gabriel's sister as a witch mated to a wolf? How did Emma's ne'er-do-well brother get released from the Council prison after getting a life sentence? And what does Emma have to do with an ancient prophecy that has everyone so excited?

These are just a few of the questions that run through this one, along with the biggest question...can Emma and Gabriel find a way to their very own Happy Ever After with so much seeming to be against them? And did I mention that Gabriel and Emma are probably the only supernatural geek squad folks I've seen?

There are so many charismatic and quirky characters in this, and I am looking forward to seeing more of them in the future. There is Gabriel's familiar, Pan, who has a dry sense of humor when he is not trying to find out what is happening with Emma and Gabriel. There is Gabriel's Aunt Linda, who runs a magic book shop, and her familiar, who is very familiar with Aunt Linda, if you catch my drift. And no Mary Hughes book would be complete without lots of steamy and passionate encounters, in strange and unusual locations, sometimes at the most inappropriate of times. I recommend this one to anyone who likes a serving of hot and steamy, with a side helping of laugh out loud quirkiness.

*I received a free digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

Pretty little shifter, wizard prince-their taboo love could burn the barriers between worlds.

Shifter Emma Singer has more problems than she can shake her pretty little wolf tail at. Her heirloom journal is missing, her pack alpha wants her for his harem, and her family plans to sell her to him. Even her wicked little crush on her hot boss is doomed- why would a six and half feet of handsome royal wizard want a boring, good girl iota shifter like her? Not to mention her only power is going berserker-that's a real relation-shipwreck!

Gabriel Light is a wizard prince who turned his back on his exceptional powers after he was accused of causing his parents' death. Now he pours his intellect into his tech business, and hides his naughty forbidden lust for his pretty shifter clerk. But when his sister is imprisoned, and Emma is kidnapped, it's time for this alpha geek-wizard to decloak with all laser cannons blazing. Only one problem-how can he be sure Emma won't get caught in the crossfire?

Then Gabriel and Emma stumble on hidden magic, a key to power beyond imagining-if they can stay alive long enough to use it. But if Emma unleashes her berserker wolf on their enemies, can Gabriel draw her back from the brink before she destroys everyone in her path?

Warning: Contains a hot wizard prince panting to bring out a good-girl shifter's naughty side. Accidental voyeurism, deliberate orgasms, jealous rival wizard and fun with prophecy.
